Haryana State Legal Services Authority (HALSA) executive chairman and Punjab and Haryana High Court Judge Justice Rajan Gupta launched a Covid awareness drive titled, “Arrest the disease, wear a mask; don’t go close, cover your nose”.
The HALSA also made public its initiatives taken since the Covid lockdown was imposed. The legal services authority revealed that it extended help to 3.5 lakh migrants by arranging for their transit and food. It also distributed 2 lakh masks and sanitisers. Another 2,700 migrants were given medical help and 8,121 were provided shelter. In more than 4,000 awareness programmes, 4.4 lakh persons were sensitised. The drive is aimed at inculcating mask etiquette and ensuring the proper implementation of SOPs. Justice Gupta said awareness drives would be launched in schools and colleges as well through the legal literacy clubs. — TNS
