Chandigarh, May 10
Haryana’s move to withdraw an advertisement for junior lecturer assistant after holding written test, scrutiny of documents and declaring candidates successful has come under judicial scanner.
Acting on a petition filed by Roshan Lal through counsel Pritpal Singh Miglani, the Punjab and Haryana High Court today put the State on notice. Appearing before Justice Harnaresh Singh Gill’s Bench, Miglani said the petitioner had applied for the post of junior lecturer assistant (Category 4) in the SC category. After appearing in the written test and scrutiny of documents, he was selected in the general category on August 2, 2019. But the department, without any notice, withdrew the ad and gave no reason. Issuing notice of motion to the respondents, Justice Gill fixed the case for July 7. — TNS
